How to Wrap Solly Baby
Solly Baby Wraps are trendy and comfortable wraps for moms to wear their newborns. They are incredibly versatile and come in stylish designs that offer baby comfort and security. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to wrap your Solly Baby:
Step 1: Unwrap the Solly Baby
Start by unfolding the wrap entirely and smoothing it out so it’s lying flat. Make sure the right side of the fabric is on the outside, so you’ll be able to use the printed markings on the wrap for reference.
Step 2: Make a Shoulder Cross-over
Once the wrap is laying flat, spread it out and find the tag. Once you’ve found the tag, create a Cross-over by bringing the tag up and across your chest, keeping your arms straight. Wrap the tail of the fabric around your shoulder and bring it across to your arm pit.
Step 3: Make a Seat
Now you’re going to make a seat for your baby. Move your hands directly across your body so they are opposite each other. Then, pull the fabric taut, about 4″ away from your stomach. You will now have 4 points in front of you, where the fabric from your arms, chest, and sides of your body all meet.
Step 4: Secure Your Baby
Take your baby and place them into the seat you created. Make sure their back is against your chest and their legs are straddling the seat you created. To position your baby correctly, their bottom should be slightly above their knees and you should have their pelvis, not their waist, pulled into the wrap.
Step 5: Tie the Wrap
Now you’ll secure the wrap into place by tying the wrap. Keep your arms straight, hold onto the fabric near the tail, and tie the wrap with a simple knot.
Step 6: Tie the Knots
Finally, tie the end knots near your chest to secure the wrap. To tie the knots, take the two remaining pieces of fabric and pull them wide, then tuck them in next to each other and tie with a double knot.
Additional Tips:
- Make sure the fabric is pulled tight. Pull the fabric taut before tying it, so your baby is snug and won’t slip.
- Use the printed lines as a guide. Use the printed lines on the wrap as visual guides when tying the wrap.
- Tie the wrap lower on your back. The wrap should be at your lower back or closer to your hip for best comfort.
